Cleaner

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Cleaner & Prep Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen while assisting with basic food preparation to support our chefs and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, floors, walls, and storage areas.

• Take out rubbish and recycling and maintain waste disposal areas.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.

• Assist with basic food preparation, including:

  • Washing and peeling vegetables.

  • Chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.

  • Portioning and packaging food items.

  • Preparing sauces or simple ingredients as instructed.

• Receive and organize deliveries.

• Refill supplies and keep storage areas clean and organized.

• Support the kitchen team with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is an advantage but not required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.

• Basic knowledge of food hygiene is an advantage.
