Senior Cloud Accountant - Johannesburg

Location: Office-based, Johannesburg (split between practice and client sites)

This is a client-facing Senior Accountant position, in a fast-growing cloud-first accounting practice. This isn't a bookkeeping role - it's full ownership of financial reporting, tax compliance, and client relationships across a multi-client portfolio.

What you'll own

  • Drafting annual financial statements and managing the full month-end close, including complex account allocations and journals in Xero
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and interactive reporting packs using Syft Analytics
  • Overseeing and performing company and income tax return submissions/reviews, plus all SARS returns (VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax)
  • Leading client meetings, drafting engagement letters, and managing the end-to-end client relationship

Requirements

What you'll bring

  • 3 years' experience in a cloud accounting practice environment
  • SAIPA registration or equivalent, with active SARS Tax Practitioner status
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Syft Analytics experience strongly advantageous
  • Comfortable owning client relationships, not just the technical output
