Venergy Marine Management is a dynamic, privately-owned shipping company headquartered in Piraeus, Greece. Operating a growing fleet of modern eco tanker vessels, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable and efficient maritime transportation services worldwide.

As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced Crew Manager who will report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role in building and maintaining a high-performing and sustainable seafarer workforce to support our expanding fleet. The position is based at our headquarters in Piraeus Tower.

  • Preparation, monitoring, and execution of workforce planning activities, including forecasting and validation of crew change plans.
  • Oversight of the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, selection, and employment offers, in cooperation with manning agents.
  • Ensure the development of a sustainable talent pipeline through cadet management, officer development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Development and implementation of crew retention and engagement initiatives to ensure continuity and stability of the officer pool.
  • Supervision of seafarers’ familiarization and onboarding process, including conduct of (de)briefing sessions as applicable.
  • Review and analysis of seafarers’ performance appraisal results, with preparation of summary reports and recommendations to Management.
  • Submission of recommendations for officer promotions and oversight of the cadet program, ensuring alignment with vessel manning requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and escalation of potential required actions to Management.
  • Monitoring, benchmarking, and optimization of monetary and non-monetary seafarer benefits to support engagement and performance.
  • Preparation of the annual departmental budget, monitoring of crew-related costs within area of responsibility, and reporting of deviations between planned and actual budget

  • Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Crew Management, including a minimum of 2 years in a Crew Manager or quivalent leadership role.
  • Excellent knowledge of ISM, MLC and TMSA requirements
  • Excellent use of Danaos Crew Module and Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Customer-oriented mindset, proactive and collaborative attitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
