About the role
Responsible for leading the growth and market development of Rimkus' Data Centre sector within an assigned geographic region.
Accountable for generating revenue opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and positioning Rimkus as a leading provider of expert witness, forensic, quantum, delay, and technical advisory services across the data centre market. The role acts as the regional representative for the Data Centre sector and will leverage industry relationships across hyperscalers, colocation providers, developers, contractors, consultants, insurers, investors, and legal advisors to secure fee-earning opportunities and support the growth of the wider business.
Revenue Generation & Client Development
- Originate and secure fee-earning opportunities across the Data Centre sector. Accountable for achieving agreed annual revenue and pipeline targets within the assigned region.
- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across hyperscalers, colocation providers, developers, contractors, consultants, investors, insurers, and law firms.
- Maintain a personal pipeline aligned with annual revenue targets.
- Generate opportunities for expert witness, forensic, quantum, delay, and technical advisory services.
- Support the conversion of opportunities into fee-earning commissions.
Regional Market Leadership
- Own and execute the regional Data Centre business development strategy.
- Act as the primary market lead for the assigned region.
- Identify emerging opportunities, market trends, major projects, disputes, outages, failures, and insurance events.
- Promotion of Rimkus services, collaborate with the Global Data Centre Lead and other Regional Leads on international pursuits and strategic accounts.
Strategic Account Management
- Develop and maintain key client relationships within the assigned region.
- Support cross-selling initiatives across Rimkus service lines.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships into multiple service offerings.
- Assist with major pursuits, proposals, presentations, and client interviews.
Data Centre Sector Expertise
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of data centre design, construction, commissioning, operations, and asset management.
- Monitor developments relating to artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, power availability, grid constraints, sustainability, and operational resilience.
- Provide market intelligence and strategic insight to support business planning and growth initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Architecture, Business, or a related discipline.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Postgraduate qualification in Construction Law, Dispute Resolution, or related field.
Minimum Experience: 8-10 years of experience in senior-level roles.
Significant experience within the data centre, mission critical, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
Demonstrable business development and client relationship management experience.
In-depth knowledge of the data centre lifecycle, including design and construction, commissioning, live operations, asset management, and dispute and forensic advisory work.
Experience engaging senior contacts at hyperscalers, colocation providers, developers, contractors, investors, insurers, or law firms.
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, regularly within the region, or frequently internationally.
Preferred Experience: Experience gained within a hyperscaler, colocation provider, developer, contractor, engineering consultant, or investor organisation.
Experience working across multiple regions and cultures.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Professional engineering, project management, construction, or related professional accreditation.
Membership of a relevant professional institution.
