About the role
About the role
We are looking for a Founding Sales hire to join our team, focused on bringing Finto to enterprises across DACH. As part of the founding go-to-market team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we sell, who we sell to, and how we grow.
You'll work side-by-side with our CEO to build our sales motion from scratch - from first outbound message to signed contract. This isn't a role where you inherit a pipeline. You'll build it. Your conversations with CFOs and finance leads will directly shape our product and strategy - in real deals, at real companies.
We're headquartered in Munich, with roots in San Francisco through Y Combinator.
What you’ll do
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, demos, negotiation, close.
- Build outbound pipeline from scratch - identify, research, and reach out to target accounts.
- Run discovery calls and demos alongside the founders. You'll learn the product deeply and eventually lead these independently.
- Develop and iterate on our outbound playbook: messaging, sequences, channel mix, ICP refinement.
- Manage deals in HubSpot - keep the CRM clean, pipeline accurate, forecasts honest.
- Work directly with prospects' finance teams and CFOs to understand their pain points and map Finto to their workflow and ecosystem.
- Feed product and market insights back to the team. Your conversations with prospects are one of our most valuable inputs.
- Help shape our GTM strategy as we scale from founder-led sales to a repeatable motion.
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- 2–5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally selling to finance or operations teams.
- You've done cold outreach before and you're not afraid of it. Phone, email, LinkedIn, visits - whatever works.
- Native-level German. Our buyers are CFOs and accounting leads at German Mittelstand companies. You need to speak their language - literally and figuratively.
- Strong English for internal communication.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or the ability to thrive without playbooks, scripts, and large support teams.
- You're structured and disciplined about pipeline management, but flexible enough to improvise when a deal requires it.
- Genuine curiosity about how businesses run their finance operations. You don't need an accounting background, but you should want to understand the domain.
- You're an early adopter of AI tools and look for ways to make yourself more effective with them. We build AI for finance teams - we expect the same mindset internally
