We are looking for an English Teacher for an International school located in Shanghai. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in August 2026.
About the school
This is a private K–12 school founded in 2018, offering a full pathway from primary through junior high to senior high. The campus is located in Pudong, near the Shanghai Disney Resort, and is designed as a landscaped, creek-side learning environment that supports both academics and student wellbeing. The school follows a Sino-Western education approach, emphasizing respect for individual development, strong pastoral care, student interests, and structured guidance for future pathways. It currently serves around 1,400–1,500 students and has approximately 50 expat teachers.
Job details
- Teach the subject of English to middle school students ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
- Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
- Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
- Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
- Develop supportive and safe learning environments
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in relevant subject
- At least 3 years’ teaching experience of relevant courses in secondary education
- Be familiar with IGCSE/AS/A-level/IB course
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and a strong team player in multicultural settings
