About the role
The Presales Engineer – Networking is responsible for designing, positioning, and supporting enterprise networking solutions for customers across the region. The role acts as a technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle, supporting opportunity qualification, solution design, technical presentations, and customer engagement activities.
Working closely with sales and delivery teams, the engineer develops scalable and high-performance networking solutions aligned with customer business and technical requirements. The role focuses on enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN environments, while supporting solution positioning and customer success initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design enterprise networking solutions aligned with customer requirements and business objectives
- Develop:
- High-Level Designs (HLD)
- Low-Level Designs (LLD)
- Technical proposals
- Bill of Quantities (BOQs)
- RFP/RFI responses
- Support networking solution architectures covering:
- LAN/WAN infrastructure
- Enterprise wireless solutions
- SD-WAN
- Network segmentation and connectivity
- Provide technical guidance on networking best practices, scalability, and infrastructure design
- Support positioning of Cisco-based networking solutions across enterprise environments
- Assist in solution comparison, technical assessments, and vendor positioning activities
- Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and vendor roadmaps
- Conduct customer meetings, workshops, presentations, and technical demonstrations
- Understand customer technical and business requirements and translate them into networking solutions
- Support technical discussions during pre-sales engagements and opportunity qualification
- Participate in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical validation activities where required
- Work closely with Sales, Delivery, and Technical teams to ensure successful solution alignment and handover
- Support implementation readiness and technical clarification activities
- Contribute to customer success initiatives through technical support and engagement
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and solution records
- Ensure proposed solutions align with customer standards and best practices
- Support continuous improvement of solution templates, technical documentation, and presales processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in networking, presales, or system integration environments
- Strong technical knowledge in:
- Routing & Switching
- LAN/WAN networking
- TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF
- Network design and architecture
- Enterprise wireless technologies
- SD-WAN fundamentals
- Experience developing:
- Technical proposals
- BOQs
- Network solution designs
- Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments
- Cisco networking technologies
- Hands-on or presales experience with: Fortinet solutions (basic security integration awareness is a plus)Experience supporting enterprise networking projects and customer engagements
- Strong customer-facing and technical solution positioning experience
- Certifications; Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Fortinet (NSE 4 or above)
