About the role
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations within a high-volume industrial textile and engineered materials facility. The Production Manager will oversee production supervisors, operators, and support teams across multiple shifts and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day production operations in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and plant objectives.
- Monitor KPIs including safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and on-time delivery.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to address bottlenecks and process issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.
- Lead root-cause investigations related to quality, equipment performance, and production losses.
- Manage labor utilization, staffing plans, and operating costs within budget targets.
- Support capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and process optimization initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Textile, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management.
- 5–10 years of manufacturing leadership experience with at least 3 years in a Production Manager or Operations Manager role.
- Experience in textile manufacturing, fiber production, polymers, automotive materials, or other continuous-process manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
