We’re always keen to hear from researchers, developers, and analysts who like solving hard problems with data.</p> <p>This is an Expression of Interest. By registering, you’re putting yourself forward for current and upcoming Quantitative opportunities across research, development, and analysis. We review every submission and reach out when there’s a fit, whether that’s now or as the business grows.</p> <p>You’ll work on the ideas and models that drive trading decisions — researching signals, building and validating strategies, and turning messy data into a genuine edge. We hire across the spectrum, from quant researchers and quant developers through to quant traders who sit close to the market.</p> <h2>Your Mission at Life Trading 🎯</h2> <p><strong>Research &amp; Strategy:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Research, design, and test trading signals, models, and strategies</li> <li>Apply statistical and probabilistic methods to large and complex datasets</li> <li>Backtest, validate, and stress-test ideas before they reach production</li> <li>Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights for trading</li> </ul> <p><strong>Development &amp; Tooling:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain research tooling, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks</li> <li>Write clean, reliable code to support research and live trading</li> <li>Improve the speed, robustness, and reproducibility of our research process</li> </ul> <p><strong>Collaboration:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner closely with traders to understand needs and refine ideas</li> <li>Work alongside technologists to take research from prototype to production</li> <li>Share findings openly and contribute to a rigorous, curious research culture</li> </ul> <h2>What We’re Looking For 👀</h2> <ul> <li>Strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, and probability</li> <li>Proficiency in a research language such as Python (and ideally one of C++, R, or similar)</li> <li>A rigorous, evidence-led approach to problem solving</li> <li>Comfort working with large, imperfect, real-world datasets</li> <li>Intellectual curiosity and the drive to dig into hard problems</li> <li>Clear written and verbal communication of technical ideas</li> </ul> <h2>Bonus Points For ✅</h2> <ul> <li>A postgraduate degree (Masters or PhD) in a quantitative field</li> <li>Experience with machine learning, time-series analysis, or financial data</li> <li>Strong results in competitions or olympiads (e.g. maths, Kaggle, programming)</li> <li>Publications or research experience in a relevant area</li> <li>Prior exposure to trading, market data, or financial markets</li> </ul> <h2>A Bit About the Team 🤝</h2> <p>You’ll be joining a sharp, collaborative quantitative team that works closely with traders and technologists across the business.
