Requirements
The Role
- Achieve and exceed annual sales targets across South Africa and selected Sub-Saharan African regions.
- Drive strategic market development initiatives across all sales channels to increase market share and profitability.
- Identify, appoint, develop, and monitor distribution partners to ensure strong market performance.
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to proposal presentation, value demonstration, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through in-person meetings, telephone engagement, and digital communication channels.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, visit reports, quotations, and sales activities within the CRM system.
- Represent the business at seminars, exhibitions, and other marketing and industry events.
- Ensure effective and efficient territory coverage and account management.
- Coach, support, and train distribution partners to strengthen market presence and performance.
- Contribute to business planning and sales strategy development to support revenue growth and target achievement.
Your Profile
- Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial or technical sales environments.
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational, planning, and follow-up abilities.
- Good understanding of general industrial markets and customer environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience with assembly tools and fastening solutions would be advantageous.
- Previous experience working with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- Sales-driven, energetic, and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
- Team-oriented with flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous customer satisfaction improvement.
