- SCHEDULE: Friday-Monday
- HOURS: 3:30am-3:30pm
- Additional hours may be required due to business demands.

- Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen. As well as a preplacement screening which tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- High school education; or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior warehouse experience is preferred. Prior Herr's warehouse experience is a plus.
- Must possess a current tow motor license.
- A knowledge of product codes and warehouse procedures is preferred.
- Must possess a stable work history with good references and pass drug screening.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the unitizers, switches, and other equipment to insure a smooth flow of product from production into the warehouse.
- Constantly keeps machines operating at maximum performance, to meet quality standards, including but not limited to, Unit integrity, accurate Unit counts and code dates.
- Operator shall manage the “Unitizer PC” for checking counts, changing destinations, entering items into lanes, and purging lanes when items are complete
- Keep reject line clear in order for production to run smoothly.
- Must have a forklift certification.
- Will complete forklift inspection, document the inspection, and submit the inspection report to the supervisor. Must report any problems found during the inspection right away.
- Count and load accurate quantities of product. From holding lanes to unitizers.
- Communicate with other shifts to maintain proper flow of products in to and out of the warehouse.
- Finished product are to be purged from holding lanes at the end of shift and lanes are to be counted for accuracy by shifts end.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise through the course of the day and work with the process lead and maintenance to get mechanical issues resolved.
- Conduct daily and weekly PM’s
- Record mechanical issues that arise during the week that can be worked on during slower production runs.
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical repairs to all unitizer(s) equipment and switches. Calls maintenance with repairs accordingly.
- Must follow all rules set by the Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) and attend all related meetings and/or training sessions. Must be committed to and operate by Manufacturing Execution System (MES) standards and procedures.
- Must wear proper PPE when on duty.
- Cleaning work area and machines. Keeps pallet storage area clean and organized and free on non-related items.
