3D Environment Artist (Member Level) - Osaka/Tokyo

3D background construction and external management for pc/console game development

Specifically:

• Create background production materials based on concepts.
• Produce fighting game backgrounds (from mock-up placement to color grading, either fully or partially).
• Prepare documentation for external partners, manage deliverables, and provide feedback.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Experience in creating 3D backgrounds (from asset production and spatial composition to final adjustments such as post-processing).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Maya, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
• 2+ years of development experience using Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Experience creating internal and external production documents and instruction sheets using tools such as Excel and Photoshop.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience creating 3D backgrounds for fighting games.
• Practical experience with ZBrush and Houdini.
• Experience in schedule and task management within your work area.
• Specialized knowledge or strengths in areas such as architecture, biomes, graphic design, or mechanical design.

Ideal candidate:

• Strong passion for SNK IPs, including past titles.
• Ability to understand concepts and proactively make design and technical proposals.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Highly collaborative and able to work effectively within large teams.

Working Hours

9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (7.5 hours of actual work per day)

Note: The above is an estimated working time, as this position is subject to a specialized discretionary labor system.

Holidays & Leave

• Full five-day workweek (Saturday and Sunday off)
