Our portfolio of national and super-regional brands and licensed products includes Hood, Heluva Good, Lactaid, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Planet Oat and more.</p></div><p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p> <p>The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure daily operations of equipment in a production setting, to include start up, operation, shut down, and sanitation of all related equipment according to Standard Operation Procedures.</p> <p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Tuesday through Saturday 10:00pm - 6:30am.</p> <p><strong>Job Essentials:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure on time start-up of equipment.</li> <li>Expedite all categories 3 &amp; 4 (Food Quality/Food &amp; Employee Safety) Work Orders and maintain High Risk Work Permits per SQF.</li> <li>Adherence to all plant GMP and sanitation policies. Compliance with all OSHA regulations as well as 100% plant safety policies.</li> <li>Working knowledge of WWTP operations and able to maintain and complete required environmental paperwork.</li> <li>Assist in designing, improving, and installing equipment and systems to improve plant quality, safety, and production needs.</li> <li>Responsible for the repair of all equipment breakdowns, preventative maintenance programs, and general repair.</li> <li>General maintenance including building repairs, plumbing, electrical work, boiler maintenance.</li> <li>Responsible for the operation, maintenance and general repairs to the anhydrous ammonia system.</li> <li>Must provide your own small hand tools.</li> <li>Must pass pulmonary function/respiratory test annually.</li> <li>Attend scheduled meetings and mandatory training as required.</li> <li>Perform Central Sanitizer, House Water, and Cheese Water chemical testing each shift.</li> <li>Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.</li> <li>Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements.</li> <li>Work overtime, as needed, which will require an obligation from you to fulfill.</li> <li>Carry out all additional duties assigned by a supervisor or foreman.</li> <li>Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.</p></div><div class="title">The pay range for this position is</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$28.66</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$28.66 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>HP Hood is an Equal Opportunity Employer&nbsp;</p> <p>Female/Minority/Veteran/Disabled</p> <p>"VERVRAA Federal Contractor"</p> <p><a href="https://hood.com/privacy-policy" target="_blank">Privacy Policy</a></p> <p><a href="https://hood.com/-/media/Project/HoodCom/PDFs/HP-HOOD-LLC-CA-CCPA-EMPLOYEE-PRIVACY-NOTICE-DECEMBER-2025.pdf" target="_blank">CCPA</a></p> <p>For Applicants in Massachusetts - It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
