About the role

The SEO Account Manager plays a hybrid role between client management and SEO execution. This position is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring SEO strategies are properly planned, executed, tracked, and communicated.


You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver results, manage expectations, and continuously improve client performance.


Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for assigned SEO clients, ensuring clear communication and smooth collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business goals, challenges, and success metrics.
  • Arrange and lead online meetings with clients to review performance, align expectations, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally with SEO Specialists, Content, Tech, and other teams to support client success.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Prepare and present regular client reports, including monthly performance reports, quarterly business reports, renewal reports, and annual summaries.
  • Monitor account health, project progress, and delivery timelines to ensure consistent quality and on-time execution.
  • Translate SEO performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for clients.

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and support SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings, organic traffic, and conversions.
  • Conduct keyword research and apply insights across website content and optimization plans.
  • Set and track measurable SEO/AI Search goals (rankings, traffic, sessions, conversions, LLMs traffic etc.).
  • Collaborate with content and marketing teams to plan and optimize website content, including blog posts and page descriptions.
  • Audit websites to identify technical SEO issues such as sitemap errors, redirects, broken pages, canonical issues, pagination, and page speed.
  • Coordinate fixes and improvements with internal teams or external partners when required.

Tools & Collaboration

  • Use marketing and SEO tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, WordPress, Ahrefs, SimilarWeb, SERanking, and related platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with other marketing professionals to align SEO strategies with broader digital marketing efforts (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, eCommerce, data analytics, etc.).


Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and digital marketing concepts.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and turn it into insights.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing timelines and deliverables.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and growth mindset.
