Senior Accountant

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>This a New York City based position with four days a week in office required.</em></span></p> <p>Aimé Leon Dore is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Queens, New York. This position will partner with the finance team to support system and process improvement, prepare combined financial statements, and executing financial close and reporting processes.</p> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of combined financial statements including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Income, Statement of Changes in Stockholders’ Equity and Statement of Cash Flows</li> <li>Assist monthly close process and ensure it is completed in a timely manner with the proper accruals and other journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset and depreciation reconciliations, reporting and account review and analysis (such as cost of goods sold, inventory, sg&amp;a)</li> <li>Support in budgeting and tracking processes&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist with cash flow projections for valuation model</li> <li>Run ad-hoc financial reports, budgets and other analysis including project-specific profitability, accounts payable aging and accounts receivable aging</li> <li>Support leadership in completing special projects and analysis requests</li> <li>Assist in the review of daily transactions including general ledger and bank entries</li> <li>Work with various internal departments and external parties to ensure that all activity is recorded in the general ledger in a timely matter&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration</li> <li>4+ years of related experience in corporate accounting or bookkeeping</li> <li>Experience at a high-growth company preferred</li> <li>Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles and procedures</li> <li>Ability to self-start, roll-up the sleeves and prioritize in a fast-paced environment&nbsp;</li> <li>High degree of accuracy and keen attention to detail</li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000</strong></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Aimé Leon Dore is from Queens, NY.
