Accountant

<p><strong>Role Overview: </strong>We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore. The role focuses on maintaining an accurate general ledger, ensuring timely month-end closures, maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, and supporting audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving trading environment with high transaction volumes, multiple legal entities, and constantly evolving products.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Execute month-end and year-end close processes.</li> <li>Prepare and review accounts payable, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, bank wires and fluctuation analyses.</li> <li>Maintain accurate standard operating procedures, financial records and documentation.</li> <li>Identify and implement automation opportunities within the accounting, close and reconciliation process.</li> <li>Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and government authorities and external service providers.</li> <li>Prepare financial statements and management reports.&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitor cash flow and bank balances to ensure sufficient funding for operational requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2-4 years of experience in audit firms and/or in-house finance teams.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from a reputable university.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting, data analysis and resolving breaks</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Expertise in financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, GST, and corporate tax requirements.</li> <li>Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.</li> </ul>
