About the role
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and ensuring full compliance with statutory and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
- Conduct variance analysis and interpret financial data to support decision-making.
- Provide insights into trends, costs, revenues, and financial performance.
- Monitor key financial metrics and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Track budget performance and highlight deviations to management.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Maintain compliance with TRA and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA qualification or progress toward it is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.
- Solid understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory compliance.
- Conversant with Excel.
