Accountant (HK)

Borrelli Walsh, a Kroll Business, is a leading specialist restructuring, insolvency and forensic accounting firm with a dedicated team of over 140 professionals and staff across offices in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, India, United Kingdom, British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands. Borrelli Walsh has been involved in some of the largest and most difficult corporate collapses and investigations in recent years.

Currently, we're seeking ambitious and qualified candidates with the following attributes to join our Hong Kong office as an Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field;
• CA, ACCA, CPA, CPI and/or JIEB qualification is preferred;
• 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in restructuring/ forensic accounting/ insolvency advisory field;
• Good business sense and commercial acumen;
• Ability to practically apply knowledge to identify issues and solve complex problems;
• Strong financial, business analytical and report writing skills; and
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
• Fresh graduates with excellent calibre will also be considered.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate solid experience of:

• High profile offshore insolvency investigations and complex cross-border matters, particularly across Hong Kong, PRC, Singapore and Jakarta jurisdictions;
• Assisting with day-to-day management of engagements such as financial and operational restructuring, official and voluntary liquidations, other formal and informal insolvency and restructuring procedures;
• Drafting sections of detailed, complex reports and documents for Courts, creditors and stakeholders;
• Monitoring progress and ensuring completion of client work to statutory and client deadlines; and
• Contributing to development of best practice.
