The successful candidate must possess well-rounded accounting background and experience, along with strong analytical and general ledger knowledge. The primary responsibilities will be to perform all detailed general ledger accounting functions and analysis for all channels.<br>This is a Columbus, OH Office-based position.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Performing the day-to-day activities related to the monthly, quarterly and annual closes:&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <ul> <li>Initiating journal entries by compiling and analyzing account&nbsp;information</li> <li>Preparing accruals associated with key accounts&nbsp;</li> </ul> <li>Preparing monthly income statements and balance sheets</li> <li>Reconciling and analyzing balance sheet and income statement accounts</li> <li>Partnering with FP&amp;A to perform close activities and review/understand key drivers of the results</li> <li>Liaising on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable matters</li> <li>Helping to implement and enforce accounting policies and best practices</li> <li>Helping prepare and consolidate various ad hoc analyses, reports, and&nbsp;data requests&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>You are someone who …&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enjoys working in a growth/start-up mindset</li> <li>Can fill gaps where needed and run into open field</li> <li>Aspires for continuous improvement&nbsp;</li> <li>Strives to figure out and implement best practices&nbsp;</li> <li>Tackles special projects between the busy periods</li> </ul> <p><strong>You must have …&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS in Accounting required; MBA a plus, CPA or individual sitting for the CPA Exam preferred</li> <li>3-5 years of accounting experience with progressive growth</li> <li>Proficiency working in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel</li> <li>Ability to interact with all levels of the organization&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong time-management skills, and ability to adhere to tight deadlines during the month-end close process</li> <li>Strong analytical and detail-oriented background</li> <li>Microsoft D365 experience a plus&nbsp;</li> <li>Retail experience a plus</li> </ul>
