Join us.</p> <h2><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>A day in the life:&nbsp;</strong></h2> <p>In the position of Staff Accountant, you will assist the Senior Accountant with the monthly closing process for assigned portions of the&nbsp;international division: bank reconciliations, property additions and rollforwards, A/R coding, A/P tracking, audit PBC lists,&nbsp;data and g/l uploads, g/l tie outs, reconciliation rollforwards, etc. The accountant will assist the Senior Accountant with processes and procedures to enhance the reporting process and provide support on a proactive basis. The candidate&nbsp;must possess skills to comprehend domestic and international business transactions and record such events in&nbsp;accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.</p> <h2><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>The impact you'll make:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Assists the Senior Accountant with the accounting and finance activities of portions of the international division</li> <li>Collects, analyzes, and understands financial statement transactions</li> <li>Proposes divisional journal entries and the related balance sheet reconciliations</li> <li>Performs reconciliations to influence business decisions and provide recommendations to the Senior Accountant<br>on projects that affect the balance sheet and P&amp;L.</li> <li>Coordinates with the Senior Accountant the communication regarding events that impact accounting and&nbsp;financials, e.g. tax changes, audits, changes in divisional reporting methodologies, requirements for forecasts and&nbsp;actuals, maintains on-going relationship with the third-parties to understand the state of the business, the major&nbsp;changes and the key factors that impact the business.</li> <li>Provides support to the Senior Accountant for all reconciliation, audit needs, and tax filings.</li> <li>Able to complete bank reconciliations</li> <li>Able to complete Prepaid reconciliations</li> <li>Able to complete Accrued Compensation reconciliations</li> <li>&nbsp;Able to complete Asset Additions and Property Rollforwards</li> <li>&nbsp;Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts</li> </ul> <h2><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Who you are:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>BS/BA required;</li> <li>Two years experience in accounting or auditing</li> <li>A sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial Accounting Standards</li> <li>&nbsp;Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office applications</li> <li>SAP experience preferred</li> <li>Position requires frequent communication with various management levels across many disciplines, countries&nbsp;and cultures. The candidate must be able to direct and control the work of other individuals through written and&nbsp;verbal communication.</li> <li>Able to multi-task several projects at once</li> <li>&nbsp;Strong organizational skills</li> </ul> <p>Monster Energy provides a competitive total compensation.
