This role will take ownership of complex accounting functions, drive the month-end close process, and serve as a key cross-functional partner across the organization. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting knowledge, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <h3><strong>General Ledger &amp; Month-End Close</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own and maintain the general ledger; ensure the chart of accounts is accurate, well-structured, and consistently applied across all transactions</li> <li>Lead the posting and reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis, including but not limited to: Banking, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Accrued Compensation, Accrued Payables, Deferred Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Allocations, and Equity</li> <li>Own and maintain amortization and allocation schedules, including capitalized internally developed software costs in accordance with ASC 350-40</li> <li>Prepare and reconcile payroll and payroll clearing entries on a monthly basis</li> <li>Review customer collectability and analyze aging receivables; escalate collection risks as appropriate</li> <li>Prepare revenue journal entries in accordance with ASC 606; own deferred revenue schedules and reconcile to the general ledger</li> <li>Prepare stock-based compensation (SBC) entries and related disclosures in accordance with ASC 718</li> <li>Prepare accrual entries for month-end including accrued expenses, unbilled liabilities, and deferred items</li> <li>Support timely and accurate completion of monthly close activities within a 4 business day close schedule</li> <li>Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for management, including Financial Flux Analysis and Debt Compliance</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Accounts Payable</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Oversee the full-cycle AP process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper controls</li> <li>Manage the AP email inbox and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner</li> <li>Oversee vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records</li> <li>Review and approve vendor bills coded and processed in Bill.com (BILL)</li> <li>Perform and review vendor sub-ledger account reconciliations</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Corporate Credit Cards &amp; Expense Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own the reconciliation of corporate credit card transactions via Ramp</li> <li>Lead spend controls management in Ramp and partner with Accounting Manager to implement policy improvements</li> <li>Review and approve employee expense reports in accordance with the company’s T&amp;E policy</li> <li>Serve as the primary Accounting representative for expense-related policy questions and escalations</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Accounts Receivable</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Oversee the monthly customer invoicing process in Intacct – entering monthly Customer invoices and managing recurring invoice schedules</li> <li>Support customer onboarding from an AR perspective; serve as point of contact for billing inquiries</li> <li>Lead customer aging reviews and manage the collections process for outstanding receivables</li> <li>Own customer sub-ledger account reconciliations</li> <li>Maintain deferred revenue schedules and ensure proper recognition in accordance with ASC 606</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Tax Support</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own Sales &amp; Use Tax compliance, including monthly and quarterly filings, using Anrok</li> <li>Manage state business registrations and payroll tax compliance</li> <li>Oversee processing of Company 1099s &amp; 3921s</li> </ul> <h3><strong>FP&amp;A &amp; Cross-Functional Support</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Assist Accounting Manager as a partner to FP&amp;A for vendor spend analysis, personnel cost tracking, and variance explanations</li> <li>Provide financial data and analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles</li> <li>Own headcount reconciliation and partner with FP&amp;A on workforce planning inputs</li> <li>Respond to complex ad hoc financial analysis requests from FP&amp;A and senior business leaders</li> <li>Partner with Finance, HR, and Sales Operations on deal structures, billing, and compensation accounting</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Audit Support</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Assist with annual external audit by preparing PBC schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and providing supporting documentation</li> <li>Liaise with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audit</li> <li>Ensure audit schedules are complete, accurate, and delivered on time</li> </ul> <h3><strong>SOPs &amp; Process Improvement</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own the documentation and ongoing maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all core accounting functions</li> <li>Proactively identify and implement opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes via AI or system integrations; partner with internal teams to execute</li> <li>Drive scalable process improvements as the company grows and the Accounting function matures</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li> <li>4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience</li> <li>Deep understanding of GAAP principles, including ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350-40</li> <li>Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle AP, AR, and general ledger accounting</li> <li>Proficiency in Sage Intacct or comparable ERP</li> <li>Experience with Bill.com (BILL) and Ramp or similar expense management platforms</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX MATCH, financial modeling)</li> <li>High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to management</li> <li>A self-starter who can operate independently and take full ownership of complex accounting functions</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights</li> <li>A collaborative partner who thrives in a cross-functional, remote environment</li> <li>Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving process optimization</li> <li>Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building scalable processes in a high-growth environment</li> <li>Intellectual curiosity and a drive to understand the business well beyond the numbers<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Points For</strong></p> <ul> <li>CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification</li> <li>Experience in a high-growth SaaS or healthcare technology environment</li> <li>Experience supporting external audits and preparing PBC schedules<br><br></li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Compensation for this role is based on market data and takes into account a variety of factors, including location, skills, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. Salary is just one part of the total rewards package at Qventus.
