With over 130 locations, Sono Bello is the largest and fastest-growing cosmetic surgery practice in the nation.</p> <p><strong>SUMMARY:&nbsp;</strong>The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This role ensures the integrity of the general ledger through accurate journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and month-end close support. The ideal candidate brings a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p><strong><u>Cash Management and Revenue Accounting</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform daily cash reconciliation of bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.</li> <li>Prepare weekly cash position reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.</li> <li>Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP (ASC 606) and company policy.</li> <li>Record and reconcile daily revenue transactions across all channels (cash, credit card, ACH, wire).</li> <li>Prepare and post monthly revenue journal entries, including accruals and deferrals.</li> <li>Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue and accounts receivable subledgers.</li> <li>Assist with revenue reporting and variance analysis for monthly management packages.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Month-End Close &amp; Reporting</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with the month-end close calendar.</li> <li>Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances.</li> <li>Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li> <li>Maintain organized work papers and documentation to support internal and external audits.</li> <li>Assist with annual external audit by providing requested schedules and supporting documentation.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Process Improvement &amp; Compliance</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to streamline revenue recording and cash reconciliation processes.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX requirements.</li> <li>Assist in the documentation and maintenance of accounting procedures and desk guides.</li> <li>Improve and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li> <li>1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on revenue or cash.</li> <li>Solid understanding of GAAP, particularly revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data reconciliation).</li> <li>Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).</li> <li>Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.</li> </ul> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of US GAAP, accounting, and internal control concepts.</li> <li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills, detail oriented with a commitment to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly, professional, and proactive manner.</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.</li> <li>CPA candidate or CPA license a plus.</li> <li>Be a team player, and willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs as circumstances require.</li> <li>Proven reliability of attendance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENSATION:</strong></p> <p>At Sono Bello, we believe that our team members are the keys to our success.
