The functions include month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, compiling data for tax filings and other responsibilities. Activities will be carried out in multiple countries.</p> <p>If you are detail-oriented and enjoy working in a collaborative finance environment that supports the business through reliable financial processes — we want to meet you.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What can you expect to do?</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Month-End Close:</strong> Perform month-end close duties while ensuring adherence to internal deadlines, company policies, and applicable accounting standards.</li> <li><strong>Tax Filings:</strong> Complete activities associated with tax filings as assigned.</li> <li><strong>Financial Operations Support:</strong> Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and expense report processes.</li> <li><strong>Team Training:</strong> Assist in training team members as needed.</li> <li><strong>Financial Reporting:</strong> Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly accrual-based financial statements and support schedules.</li> <li><strong>Account Reconciliations:</strong> Prepare account reconciliations, including identification and resolution of discrepancies.</li> <li><strong>Audit Support:</strong> Assist in responding to year-end external audit inquiries.</li> <li><strong>Accounting Compliance:</strong> Seek management guidance to ensure all transactions are recorded appropriately in accordance with accounting standards and accurately reflect the activity and purpose of each account.</li> <li><strong>Credit Management Support</strong>: Provide assistance with tasks related to establishing credit limits for new and existing business partners.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; an advanced degree and/or active CPA license is preferred.</li> <li>3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.</li> <li>Experience in operational accounting and accounting services (AR, AP, etc.).</li> <li>Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.</li> <li>Strong computer skills; experience with complex ERP systems is preferred.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why Join Us:</strong></p> <p>At Velocity Electronics, our core values—Be Amazing Today, Demonstrate Mutual Respect and Trust, Act Courageously, and Own Your Outcomes—drive our success.
