ACCOUNTANT - MATERNITY LEAVE COVER

Our Recruitment division is looking for an ACCOUNTANT to cover a MATERNITY LEAVE for a multinational company operating in the tech industry, based in the suburb of Milan.

The candidate will join the Accounting & Cost Controlling team. Reporting to the Accounting & Cost Control Manager the new resource will be involved in all daily accounting and financial operations of the company.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts payable process, including the receipt and posting of supplier invoices through the SDI platform, application of the correct VAT treatment, periodic invoice reconciliations and supplier payment verification;

• Prepare and submit VAT compliance filings, including quarterly VAT returns (LIPE), monthly Intrastat reports, support the annual VAT return process and provide data for the annual tax certification of independent contractors;

• Record general ledger transactions, including bank transactions, payroll entries, accruals, prepayments and provisions, as well as manage fixed assets and related depreciation;

• Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, payroll-related accounts and general ledger balance sheet accounts;

• Manage employee expense reports and ensure the proper filing and retention of accounting documentation in compliance with applicable regulations;

• Support the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements, assist with internal and external audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accounting and/or Degree in Economics;

• Previous experience in the role, at least 1-2 years;

• Proficient knowledge of Excel;

• Proficiency in English.

As a plus:

• Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and/or other accounting systems;

• Knowledge of consolidated financial statements and IFRS principles.

We offer a fixed-term employment contract as maternity leave cover under the CCNL Metalmeccanico, with a C3-level and a gross annual salary (RAL) between 31.000 and 35.000 euros. The compensation package is complemented by a performance bonus, meal vouchers and additional company benefits.
