This role is built for someone who loves accounting AND technology. Someone excited to work on AI-assisted, data-heavy projects and help us reimagine what modern finance looks like at a fast-growing SaaS company. You'll own core AP and GL processes while actively contributing to automation, tooling, and process innovation initiatives.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</strong></p> <p><strong>Vendor Management &amp; AP, P2P Processing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate vendor master data and manage the full vendor onboarding process.</li> <li>Handle vendor requests, portals, and communications in a timely and professional manner.</li> <li>Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and procure-to-pay workflows.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Payment Proposals &amp; Processing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare and process payment proposals, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.</li> <li>Manage foreign currency payments and apply foreign currency valuation principles.</li> <li>Maintain a strong understanding of provisions and payment terms across entities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bank Reconciliation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies proactively.</li> <li>Coordinate and evaluate balance sheet accounts, managing reconciliations and provisions with accuracy.</li> <li>Support monthly financial statement preparation through ongoing bookkeeping and accrual accounting.</li> </ul> <p><strong>VAT Compliance &amp; Financial Reporting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain a strong focus on VAT compliance across European and UK entities, ensuring all tax regulations are met and properly documented.</li> <li>Handle accrual accounting, amortizations, and foreign currency valuation.</li> <li>Assist in preparing and analyzing year-end financial statements, contributing to audit readiness and overall financial compliance.</li> <li>Participate in finance projects to enhance and streamline processes, keeping documentation up to date.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Yokoy / Zip Credit Card Processes</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support and manage Yokoy and Zip credit card processes, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and reconciliation.</li> <li>Act as a point of contact for employees on expense and credit card policy questions.</li> <li>Drive process improvements and maintain documentation for credit card workflows.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Digital &amp; AI-Driven Accounting Projects</strong></p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in and lead data-heavy, technology-focused accounting initiatives.</li> <li>Work with AI and automation tools to streamline reconciliation, reporting, and compliance workflows.</li> <li>Collaborate with the wider Finance and Engineering teams to evaluate and implement new financial tools.</li> <li>Document processes and help train team members on updated systems and workflows.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li> <li>3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS or international environment with a focus on AP and VAT.</li> <li>Austrian Bilanzbuchhalter qualification (or active willingness to obtain it) strongly preferred.</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of per diem and reimbursement regulations across multiple countries.</li> <li>Working experience with bookkeeping, including payroll and/or business expenses.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AP, P2P, and business expense tools such as Yokoy, Concur, or Expensify.</li> <li>Proficient in NetSuite and advanced Excel / Google Sheets.</li> <li>Strong understanding of VAT regulations and cross-border tax considerations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>SKILLS&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong affinity for technology and software; first ERP experience required (NetSuite, SAP, or Dynamics).</li> <li>Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li> <li>Solid decision-making skills and the ability to assess multiple options and identify the best course of action.</li> <li>Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.</li> <li>International mindset with strong English communication and writing skills; German is a strong plus.</li> <li>Enjoys training and walking team members through processes and tools.</li> <li>Good project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Demonstrates AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.</li> </ul> <p>The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of “Angestellte von Unternehmen im Bereich Dienstleistungen in der automatischen Datenverarbeitung und Informationstechnik” ST1 <span class="notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="0">Einstiegsstufe</span> (starting with 45,738 EUR/year).
