About the role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. He/She will support the business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, expenses as well as updating the accounting database. This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to grow his/her accounting knowledge and experience.  

 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Compile and organize data provided by clients, such as invoices, receipts, bank statements.  
  • Record financial transactions in the accounting software. 
  • Evaluate and analyze financial and operating reports and data. 
  • Reconcile bank statements and implement actions to resolve discrepancies. 
  • Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records. 
  • Coordinate with the Tax Department and other business lines as necessary. 
  • Comply with US GAAP and ethics. 
  • Special projects and process improvement initiatives. 
  • Maintain the chart of accounts. 
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. 
  • Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system. 
  • Ensure all the service tickets show the real and correct status.    
  • Perform accounting functions to support supervisors. 
  • Submit accurate Timesheet weekly. 
  • Use and maintain updated records of the tasks at the corresponding technological solutions used (Canopy or any other according to IT instructions). 
  • Other related duties as assigned. 
  • Lead a Team of Junior Accountants when assigned; being responsible for their performance and development. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. 
  • Competency in QuickBooks is a plus. 
  • Prior experience in accounting is preferred to be at least 4 years. 
  • Bilingual- English and Spanish .
