In this role, you will support Mercy For Animals’ accounting and finance operations via general ledger and month-end close accounting support, accounts payable, payments, and accounts receivable functions to empower the organization to generate accurate financials.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You will</span><strong> do invaluable work</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">:</span></p> <p>Primary Responsibilities and Duties:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage and process accounts payable (including working with predominantly english speaking vendors), accounts receivable, and team member expenses using our existing financial platforms&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Support the Finance team with recurring account reconciliations and analyses</p> </li> <li> <p>&nbsp;Serve as the first point of contact for Finance-related team member questions and third-party requests including managing internal Finance intranet pages and the Finance inbox&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Record journal entries and complete balance sheet account reconciliations to support month-end close</p> </li> <li> <p>Explain fluctuations in account activity&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Support internal controls and process improvement to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with financial policies&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Follow all organizational policies and procedures&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Perform any other duties assigned&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p>Position Requirements:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Highly proficient in spoken and written English&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>2+ years experience in similar role</p> </li> <li> <p>Working knowledge of general accounting principles&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Commitment to the mission and values of the organization&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Commitment to continued personal and organizational growth in diversity, equity,&nbsp;inclusion, and justice principles&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p> <p>This position is in a Grade Level (2) - Specialist job family and compensation for this role will follow within the range for that job family.</p> <p>Latin America: min: $19,838; max: $21,838 MXN per month (paid annually a 13 months).</p> <p><strong>Our Commitment to You</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mercy For Animals is a globally minded organization.
