Chief Accountant (Head of Accounting)
Stilino specializes in the renovation and redevelopment of public-use buildings across Silesia. With a growing portfolio of construction projects and a clear long-term vision, the company is strengthening its team with an experienced finance professional ready to take full ownership of the accounting function and support the business at a strategic level.
About the Role
Stilino is looking for a Chief Accountant to lead the company’s accounting and financial operations. This is a senior, standalone role with full responsibility for accounting processes, compliance, and financial reporting.
You will work closely with the management board, acting as a trusted advisor on all accounting and tax matters, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across the company’s finances. Depending on the setup, you will either manage accounting in-house or coordinate and supervise cooperation with an external accounting office.
This role is ideal for someone who values order, responsibility, and long-term stability, while also being open to improving and professionalizing existing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for the company’s accounting and bookkeeping
Posting and controlling purchase and sales invoices
Verifying accounting documentation for accuracy and compliance with regulations
Preparing tax declarations, summaries, and financial statements
Ensuring compliance with Polish accounting and tax law
Supervising cooperation with the external accounting office (if applicable)
Managing payments, settlements, and document workflows
Providing ongoing financial and accounting support to management
Participating in process optimization and improvement of accounting procedures
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a senior accounting role (Chief Accountant / Head Accountant)
Excellent knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations
Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for the accounting area
High level of accuracy, reliability, and organizational skills
Practical, hands-on mindset combined with a business-oriented approach
Strong communication skills and ability to cooperate with management
Nice to Have
Experience in the construction or engineering industry
Familiarity with accounting systems (any ERP or accounting software)
Experience in process optimization or building accounting structures
