This role requires a designer who understands that activewear is where high-fashion meets high-function. You will be responsible for creating designs that not only look trend-forward in the <strong>US and Asian markets</strong> but also perform for active wear</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <ul> <li><strong>Performance Design:</strong> Create innovative designs for activewear (shorts,leggings, sports bras, outerwear, etc.) that prioritize movement, breathability, and support.</li> <li><strong>Trend Synthesis (US &amp; Asia):</strong> Translate global "Gorpcore," "Athleisure," and "Technical Sportswear" trends from the US market into designs that resonate with the growing fitness culture in Asia.</li> <li><strong>Fabric &amp; Trim Innovation:</strong> Source and select performance textiles (nylon/spandex blends, recycled polyesters) and trims (reflective tapes, bonded zippers, laser-cutting) that meet specific GSM and compression requirements.</li> <li><strong>Color &amp; Print Direction:</strong> Develop seasonal palettes and "active" prints (sublimation, silicone hits) that withstand fabric stretch without cracking or fading.</li> <li><strong>Functional Detailing:</strong> Design with the athlete in mind—incorporating ergonomic pocket placements, chafe-free seam mapping, and strategic ventilation.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>&nbsp;</h2> <h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 5+ years in <strong>Activewear or Sportswear</strong> design.</li> <li><strong>Technical Savvy:</strong> Strong understanding of stretch-fabric behavior and specialized construction (Flatlock, 4-needle 6-thread, bonding/welding).</li> <li><strong>Software:</strong> Expert in Adobe Creative Suite. Gerber, Experience with 3D design (CLO3D) is a massive advantage for visualizing garment compression.</li> <li><strong>Language:</strong> Professional English (Required); Mandarin or Vietnamese (Advantageous for collaborating with regional performance mills).</li> <li><strong>Market Knowledge: </strong>Deep awareness of US brands (e.g., Lululemon, Alo Yoga, Nike) and Asian market preferences regarding modesty, fit, and color</li> </ul> </div> <p><br><br></p>
