About Second Family Nursing Services
Second Family Nursing Services provides compassionate in home and community based care for medically fragile children and adults. Our mission is to support individuals and their families with dignity, safety, and personalized care while building meaningful connections in the community.
Position Overview
The Activity Staff Summer Program is a paid opportunity for high school students to gain hands on experience in healthcare, administration, and community service. Students will support recreational and social activities for medically fragile adults and children while learning valuable professional and life skills in a supportive and supervised environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning, setting up, and running summer events and activities
Engage with children and adults in a safe, positive, and respectful way
Support nursing and administrative staff with basic office and program needs
Help maintain a clean and organized activity environment
Assist with distributing supplies and materials for events and programs
Follow all safety, confidentiality, and professionalism guidelines
Training and Learning Opportunities
Participants will receive training and exposure to
- CPR and first aid
- Professional communication and teamwork
- Working with individuals with medical and developmental needs
- Basic administrative and office skills
- Healthcare and community service career pathways
