<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>
<p>The Actuarial Assistant is responsible for providing expert actuarial advice/support. This position will collaborate with other actuaries and professionals throughout F&G and is expected to generate charts, models, tables and other tools to represent their conclusions and present those at meetings and explain complex information in a way others can understand. This position is a part of the Actuarial Education Program and provides exam support and rotation opportunities if desired by the candidate.</p>
<p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Analyze results demonstrating knowledge of actuarial concepts and processes.</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain models & reports, as well as participation in reconciliation with results.</li>
<li>Assist in developing answers to business questions through data.</li>
<li>Complete ad hoc projects as assigned on a timely basis.</li>
<li>The duties of this position vary depending on the actuarial team but could also include:
<ul>
<li>Support the monthly financial close process to calculate and validate Statutory, GAAP, and tax reserves and assist with financial statement preparation</li>
<li>Support the maintenance of the pricing models and assist in pricing of life or annuity products</li>
<li>Support the development and production of various experience studies used by the Company</li>
<li>Support the production of cash flow testing and other projection related tasks, including sensitivity tests and risk based capital projections</li>

<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities: </strong>This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.</p>
<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)</li>
<li>Ability to learn and utilize actuarial software systems</li>
<li>Must be extremely detail oriented, analytical and be able handle multiple projects</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills that include advanced analytical and reasoning abilities</li>
<li>Demonstrate ability to apply actuarial principles to complex situations</li>
<li>Team player who has the ability to function as a key member of a small group</li>
<li>Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and is able to operate efficiently in unpredictable and challenging project environments</li>
<li>Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related technical field</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Years of Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Less than 1 year of relevant experience with an actuarial internship preferred</li>
<li>1+ actuarial exams passed preferred with an interest in pursuing FSA</li>
<li>Prior experience with modeling software preferred</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>This position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring long periods of sitting, regular use of a computer, and occasional standing or walking, with reasonable accommodations available.</li>
<li>Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned</li>
<li>Regular and punctual attendance</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Ability to travel up to: </strong>5% of the time</p>
