Join our dedicated animal care team to help ensure the safety, health, and wellbeing of a diverse range of animals. We are searching for a compassionate, organised, and detail-oriented team member to play a vital role in our zoo as a Zookeeper. Responsibilities – Animal Care, Welfare, and Zoo Facility Maintenance
- Deliver exceptional daily husbandry care and enrichment for various zoo animals, maintaining the highest standards of welfare and welfare protocols.
- Prepare and distribute species-appropriate diets, monitor feeding routines, and observe animal behaviours for signs of health or distress.
- Clean and maintain animal enclosures, exhibits, and support areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both animals and visitors.
- Accurately record and report animal health data, behavioural changes, and incidents in line with zoo guidelines.
- Support veterinary staff during health checks, medical treatments, and transport operations.
- Assist with breeding and conservation programmes, educational exhibits, and public demonstrations.
- Engage with visitors, delivering informative talks and guided tours to promote a positive learning experience about wildlife conservation.

Essential Qualifications for Zoo Keeper Positions
- Previous experience working with animals in a zoo, sanctuary, farm, or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualification in animal care, zoology, biology, or related field a plus.
- Understanding of health, safety, and biosecurity protocols within wildlife care environments.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and continuous professional development.
- Work in a supportive, inclusive team passionate about animal welfare and conservation.
- Participate in on-the-job training, workshops, and career advancement programmes.
- Engage in public education, outreach, and meaningful animal enrichment initiatives.
