About the role
- Facilitates the development and execution of significantly enhanced talent management and retention strategies and processes.
- Partners with the Director, Corporate Talent Acquisition and Human Resources - Director, Field Talent Acquisition – to build on current practices of attracting and retaining world-class talent.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management, employee engagement and training and development.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends, including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Provides counsel on employee relations strategy, including investigation of issues, government programs, and compliance with legal requirements partnering with the Legal Counsel.
- Partners with leadership to identify, cultivate and drive key Talent Management initiatives, including leadership development, talent, performance management, change management, workforce, and succession planning.
- Leads the management, mentoring, and development of the Human Resources team members to pivot from a short-term, transactional focus to a long-term strategic business partner outlook.
- Provides sound employee relations advice.
- Partners with operational teammates and senior leadership on key issues, regional support, and business strategy.

- Experience with KPI metrics and OKR framework.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with various human resource information systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Earned a BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university (Required);
- A minimum of 10-12 years of HR experience, with at least one position advising senior staff. (Required)
- Multi-state employment law experience. (Required)
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred but not required.
- Non-Profit experience is preferred but not required.
