Learn more about Vail Health <a href="https://www.vailhealth.org/about">here</a>.</p></div><div><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></div> <div> <p>The Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) will provide patient care, consultation, evaluation, and education to patients of the assigned units.</p> </div> <div><strong>What you will do:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Follows standards of care as outlined by Vail Health and Colorado Nurse Practice Act.</li> <li>Supports the coordination of the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.</li> <li>Maintains confidentiality of patient, staff, and hospital administration.</li> <li>Provides care within scope of practice as established by the privileges granted through the Vail Health Medical Staff Office.</li> <li>Competency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care, patient satisfaction, and safety are maintained as documented by supervising physicians review.</li> <li>Provides patient education relating to current medical issues and to promote healthy lifestyle choices.</li> <li>Displays and promotes professional, courteous, and collaborative interaction with patients/families, providers, staff, other Vail Health departments, and leadership in meeting patient care needs and promoting teamwork.</li> <li>Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.</li> <li>Ensures that patient documentation is in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.</li> <li>Demonstrates competency in triage, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.</li> </ul> <div><strong>This description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills and efforts or work conditions associated with the job.
