<p>Major League Baseball is proud to present Advancing Bases<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>December 11-12, 2024, the second edition of this<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>two-day event<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>which debuted last year at the<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>2023<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Baseball Winter Meetings in Nashville, TN to provide a platform for<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>diverse talent across the spectrum of baseball operations to receive continuing education and engagement with Club and League personnel through panels, breakout sessions, and professional development workshops. Building on the success of the<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><span class="s7">Take the Field</span><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>program which serves women looking to build careers in baseball, Advancing Bases is meant to provide similar programming and opportunities to diverse individuals.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>The program will feature topic areas such as<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>baseball operations, baseball analytics, scouting, player development, coaching, and research and development in addition to discussions regarding leadership, growth, and advancing your career in baseball. Club and League personnel will be involved as discussion facilitators<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>to share their insight<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>and perspective with<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>candidates, providing<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>constructive advice to<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>further<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>assist their growth in the game. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Major League Baseball will be reaching out to all 30 MLB Clubs for the nomination of baseball operations employees to participate as full participants and as mentors during the event. Interested candidates currently not working for an<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>MLB<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>organization<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>can apply to be selected. Applicants are encouraged<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>to apply as soon as possible to be considered and selected prior to the start of the Baseball Winter Meetings. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span> </p>
