Senior AI Automation Test Engineer

<p><strong>ASSYST</strong> is seeking a<strong> Senior AI Automation Test Engineer</strong> in <strong>Washington D.C. (Remote role).<br><br></strong>This role involves modern test automation engineering with a strong emphasis on AI‑driven quality assurance. At its core, it combines traditional automation expertise with cutting‑edge AI capabilities to make testing faster, smarter, and more effective.<strong><br></strong></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Test Automation:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Utilize AI technologies to accelerate test case creation, test data generation, automation development, and test maintenance.</li> <li>Leverage Generative AI to improve testing efficiency, productivity, and quality outcomes.</li> <li>Implement AI-assisted defect analysis, root cause identification, and test impact analysis.</li> <li>Evaluate emerging AI testing capabilities and recommend innovative solutions to enhance quality engineering practices.</li> <li>Apache JMeter performance testing experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Test Automation Engineering:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks using Java and modern automation technologies.</li> <li>Develop automated functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and smoke test suites for web and enterprise applications.</li> <li>Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent automation frameworks.</li> <li>Establish automation standards, best practices, and reusable testing components.</li> <li>Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations to development teams.</li> <li>Continuously improve automation coverage and testing effectiveness.</li> </ul> <p><strong>API Testing &amp; Quality Engineering:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and automate testing solutions for APIs, services, and microservices-based applications.</li> <li>Develop and execute automated API test suites using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.</li> <li>Validate functionality, integration points, authentication, authorization, and data integrity.</li> <li>Support functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing activities.</li> <li>Ensure quality across all layers of the application architecture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Relevant Experiences required.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 7 to 10 Years of Experience as an Automation Test Engineer</li> <li>Experience developing automation frameworks and test solutions using Java.</li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and modern web automation tools.</li> <li>Experience creating and maintaining API collections, test scripts, and automated validations using Postman.</li> <li>Experience testing RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices-based applications.</li> <li>Familiarity with SQL databases and data validation techniques.</li> <li>Experience working with source control systems and Agile development methodologies.</li> <li>Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate test automation development, maintenance, and analysis.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>ASSYST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
