<p><strong>YOUR ROLE</strong></p>
<p>At Palo IT, technical leads are expected to be <strong>AI-native by default</strong> and act as <strong>technical authorities</strong> for their teams and projects. As a <strong>Technical Lead (AI-Native)</strong>, you will own the technical direction and project execution for engineering teams while actively embedding AI and Generative AI into how teams work by default.</p>
<p>You will lead and manage a team of engineers, providing full-stack expertise, establishing best practices, and ensuring delivery excellence. Working closely with clients, project teams, and business stakeholders, you will <strong>shepherd technical decision-making</strong> and provide <strong>thought-leadership</strong> through both traditional development practices and AI-augmented workflows.</p>
<p>You will apply Palo IT's <strong>Gen-E2 methodology</strong> to drive quality, speed, and responsible AI adoption across projects and teams.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>Technical Leadership & Delivery Ownership</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Own the technical direction and roadmap</strong> for engineering projects.</li>
<li><strong>Provide full-stack expertise</strong> to the engineering team and establish best practices on code quality and performance.</li>
<li><strong>Shepherd technical decision-making process</strong> and provide thought-leadership.</li>
<li><strong>Provide architecture-level and code-level feedback</strong> for the engineering team.</li>
<li><strong>Build confidence in project delivery</strong> through automated testing, continuous integration, monitoring and analytics.</li>
<li><strong>Monitor project progress and delivery quality</strong> across teams.</li>
<li>Ensure <strong>timelines, outcomes, and engineering standards</strong> are met.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>AI-Native & Gen-E2 Leadership (Core Expectation)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Champion AI-native ways of working</strong> across the team, including AI-assisted development, testing, and documentation.</li>
<li><strong>Define and enforce AI/GenAI best practices</strong>, including:</li>
<li>Prompt and context engineering standards</li>
<li>Output validation, guardrails, and fallback strategies</li>
<li>Code review standards for AI-generated code</li>
<li><strong>Stay current with emerging GenAI trends and tools</strong> and translate them into practical, value-driven implementations.</li>
<li><strong>Act as a technical authority and coach</strong> on Gen-E2 practices and responsible AI/GenAI adoption.</li>

<p><strong>People Leadership & Team Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Lead and mentor a team of engineers</strong> to deliver high-quality code and projects.</li>
<li>Provide <strong>technical guidance, coaching, and career development planning</strong> for team members.</li>
<li><strong>Manage performance</strong> through clear goal setting, regular feedback and reviews, and identification of growth opportunities.</li>
<li><strong>Foster a collaborative, innovative, and learning-driven culture</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Recruit and build</strong> high-performing engineering teams.</li>

<p><strong>Consulting, Clients & Growth</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Collaborate with clients</strong> to understand business problems, design solutions, and lead implementation.</li>
<li><strong>Partner with Sales and Presales teams</strong> to shape proposals, solution approaches, and contribute to technical responses and estimations.</li>
<li><strong>Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks</strong> to scale delivery efficiency.</li>
<li>Support Palo IT <strong>thought leadership</strong> through research, experimentation, and publication.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Must-Have Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>10+ years</strong> of hands-on software development experience <strong>including recent experience in client and team management</strong>.</li>
<li>Proven experience <strong>leading and mentoring engineering teams</strong>.</li>
<li>Deep technological expertise in <strong>fullstack development</strong>. Preferred technologies include <strong>ReactJS</strong> for frontend development and <strong>NodeJS/Java/Python</strong> for backend development.</li>
<li>Experience in developing <strong>scalable, reliable, and secure applications</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>solution architecture</strong>.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of common <strong>programming patterns and principles</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</strong>.</li>
<li>Demonstrated use of <strong>AI tools in day-to-day engineering work</strong> (not just theoretical exposure).</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>AI-Native & Gen-E2 Skills (Required)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Hands-on, daily use</strong> of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent).</li>
<li>Strong grasp of <strong>prompt and context engineering</strong> for engineering workflows.</li>
<li><strong>Proven experience defining and enforcing</strong> GenAI best practices across teams.</li>
<li>Ability to <strong>coach and mentor teams</strong> on effective and responsible AI tool usage.</li>
<li>Critical thinking to validate and verify AI-generated code and solutions.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Good to Have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with any emerging technologies (Decentralised Identity, Realtime-cross border payment, Quantum computing, Advanced Smart Contract etc..).</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>AI/ML services and frameworks</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>cloud computing platforms</strong> (Azure, AWS, GCP).</li>
<li><strong>Mobile development</strong> experience (Swift for iOS, Android, native or hybrid).</li>
