The AI Tech Head (Future Ready / Applied AI) role within DTC will be a visionary leader responsible for spearheading the implementation and evolution of future-proof technological platforms and innovations. This role is critical in driving the "Future Ready Technology" mandate, which focuses on ensuring reliable and resilient platforms, fostering innovation and collaboration, and continuously experimenting with external partners to deliver exponential customer and employee experiences. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in injecting innovation across product and service development within and across platforms, particularly in areas leveraging AI, to align with DTC's strategic objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
Applied AI & Agentic AI Strategy Implementation:
Lead the development and execution of the technology strategy for Future Ready Technology within DTC, aligning with the overall Group Technology Mandate and DTC's AI-driven vision.
Lead the departmental Applied AI strategy planning and execution, focusing on the practical application and scaled implementation of AI in banking operations, rather than foundational model research and development.
Apply large model capabilities to core business and internal efficiency scenarios, continuously creating business and operational value through Agentic AI, Workflow Automation, voice, and collaborative intelligence.
Champion the continuous injection of innovation in product and service development, both within and across platforms, with a strong focus on AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.
Continuously explore and leverage external partnerships to provide exponential customer experiences.
Agentic AI platform and framework development
Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of technology platforms within the Future Ready Technology domain.
Drive technological synergy and optimization through stronger collaboration among different platforms.
Focus on leveraging innovation and future-of-work technology to improve both customer and employee journeys.
Responsible for the technical direction and implementation of the AI Agent platform and development system, including AI development IDEs (e.g., Claude Code) and frameworks such as DIFY, Google ADK, LangChain/LangGraph, and Claude Agent SDK.
Drive the implementation of AI-driven process automation and digital workflow systems.
AI Security, Observability & Governance
Design and implement enterprise-level AI security architecture, including Agent Identity, OAuth, permissions management, and data access control.
Establish AI system observability, traceability, and evaluation mechanisms to ensure stability, security, and audit compliance.
Lead AI governance and risk management initiatives.
Future of Work & Collaborative Intelligence
Promote the integration of AI with collaboration tools like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to drive transformation in future work styles.
Responsible for voice-related AI technical directions (STT/TTS, Image Processing, Video Generation, etc.).
Team Leadership and Cross-Regional Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Lead a technology team and work closely with the Singapore team.
Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within DTC and across Group Technology.
Education and Relevant Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in technology leadership roles within the relevant industry, with a strong focus on innovation, platform development, and emerging technologies.
Familiarity with Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering, and Workflow Design.
Experience with Applied AI and enterprise-level systems.
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technology initiatives, particularly in areas related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and future-ready platforms.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate large teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. English as a working language is required.
Strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative mindset.
