About the role
Role Overview
- Four AI Translator are required — one per market — to bridge the gap between technical AI delivery and local business stakeholders. Each specialist is the in-market glue: translating AI outputs and UX content into the local language, managing project coordination tasks, facilitating stakeholder communication, and ensuring the chatbot serves its local users with cultural accuracy. A background combining project coordination with linguistic skills and basic AI literacy is essential.
Core Responsibilities
- Translate and localise all chatbot-facing content for the assigned market: agent responses, fallback messages, button labels, onboarding copy, and help text — ensuring cultural appropriateness beyond literal translation.
- Work directly with AI Engineers to review prompt outputs in the local language, flag quality issues, and iterate on wording until responses meet local user expectations.
- Maintain the market-specific content repository: approved utterances, translated FAQ pairs, entity lists (product names, location names, dates), and conversation design documents.
- Coordinate the market sprint plan in close partnership with the AI Lead: track deliverables in project management tools Jira
- Facilitate local stakeholder workshops and UAT sessions — gathering feedback in the local language and synthesising it into clear, actionable requirements for the engineering team.
- Support QA activities by performing local language testing of chatbot flows, documenting defects, and verifying fixes in the target language.
- Serve as the cultural consultant for the team — proactively advising on local communication norms, sensitivities, and regulatory language requirements.
- Assist in creating local training data: validating annotated utterances, reviewing NLU training sets, and approving test conversation scripts.
Requirements
- Native in the assigned market language (Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malau or Chinese — one per role); full professional proficiency in English.
- 3+ years in project coordination and localisation, or business analyst role — within a technology or digital transformation context.
- Demonstrated experience translating or localising digital product content; exposure to chatbot or conversational UX content is highly valued.
- Basic AI literacy: comfortable reviewing chatbot outputs, understanding what a prompt is, and working alongside engineers without deep technical knowledge.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
- Resilient in ambiguous, fast-moving project environments; proactive in raising concerns rather than waiting to be asked.
