<p>Work Location: Huntsville, AL</p>
<p>Schedule: Full Time 40 hours per week; 8 hours per day in office (remote work is not authorized)</p>
<p>Relocation: Negotiable</p>
<p>IronMountain Solutions is looking for a<strong> Air Vehicle Project Engineer </strong>to support our customer in Huntsville, AL.</p>
<p><strong>Job Responsibilities: </strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Lead assigned Working Groups and supports other WGs as directed.</li>
<li>Plan, organize and direct the work of teams or task forces conducting comprehensive trade studies, technical projects and problem resolution.</li>
<li>Manage cost, schedule, and performance of contractor developed propulsion and power system baselines and modifications.</li>
<li>Prepare position papers and evaluate OE designs against requirements.</li>
<li>Execute engineering tasks of moderate scope and complexity.</li>
<li>Provide SME knowledge of all assigned aircraft systems, supporting the performance of analysis in connection with these systems.</li>
<li>Experience required in fatigue life assessment of metallic and composites structures/components.</li>
<li>Develop strong working relationships and rapport with subordinate, peer and management personnel within the home organization and with contemporary organizations and contract partners.</li>
<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college with 7-10 years of directly related experience.</li>
<li>Experience with current DoW and/or civilian rotary wing/vertical lift aircraft air vehicle systems.</li>
<li>A technical background in Military program management is required.</li>
<li>Experience with contract documents, such as Statements of Work (SOW), Contracts Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), Document Summary Lists (DSLs), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedules.</li>
<li>Must have exceptional organizational skills, be detailed oriented and be able to manage a large volume of data.</li>
<li>Understanding of principles, practices, and theories of engineering fundamentals to include but not limited to reliability, maintainability, diagnostics principles, and hardware integration.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills (oral and written).</li>
</ul>
<p>Desired Skills:</p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with Systems Engineering, especially requirements management.</li>
<li>Experience and understanding of airworthiness qualification of Army aircraft systems.</li>
<li>Experience with Weapon System/Air Vehicle component/sub-system bench test and system flight test.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Travel:</strong> Must be able and willing to travel up to 15%</p>
<p><strong>Clearance Requirements:</strong> Must possess or have the ability to obtain an active SECRET security clearance.</p>
