Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast.</p> <p>Our goal is to make Africa the first cashless continent and that's where you come in...</p></div><h2><strong>How you'll help us achieve it</strong></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We are looking for an AML Investigator familiar with money laundering trends and comfortable investigating complex cases to support our Financial Security Team’s mission to prevent, detect, and report suspicious activity. The position will report to our Senegal Compliance Analyst.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In this role, you will:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Conduct investigations on alerts generated by our AML Transaction Monitoring system.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Participate in enhancing alerts to reduce overall false positives and prioritize the investigation of suspicious activity.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support the Financial Security Manager in reviewing reports generated by other Analysts.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Contribute to the effectiveness of the Transaction Monitoring System by identifying weaknesses and proposing improvement measures.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Contribute to the generation of Financial Security reports.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Participate in awareness-raising and training activities relating to financial security.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Carry out investigations into suspicious transactions and activities.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare suspicious transaction reports.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Contribute to drafting reports and dashboard updates for Decision Makers.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist the Financial Security Manager in ensuring the implementation of embargo restrictions issued by the regulator, with the approval of Wave's governing body.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Gather information about requisitions from law enforcement authorities and/or the financial intelligence authority.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Other duties may be assigned as required.</span></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Key details</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Location: You'll work from our office in Dakar.</li> <li>You must have work authorization in Senegal.</li> <li>This is a permanent contract.</li> <li>Our salaries are competitive and calculated using a transparent formula.&nbsp;</li> <li>We offer generous health insurance for yourself and your dependents.</li> <li>We support working parents - we offer (26 weeks for mothers and 4 weeks for fathers) and subsidized child care when you return to work.</li> <li>We help you live your fullest life now- we subsidize gym memberships and fitness classes.</li> <li>Airtime reimbursement.</li> <li>Free food and a beautiful office space.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Requirements</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proficiency in spoken and written French and English.
