Your role: 

Incident/Change/Problem Management: Utilizing your ITIL knowledge and experience in incident, change, and problem management to effectively handle and resolve Linux-related issues and provide timely solutions.

• Patching and Vulnerability Management: Implementing and maintaining a comprehensive patch management system and fixing security vulnerabilities in the Linux/Unix environment.
• Infrastructure Design: Designing and implementing high availability solutions using technologies such as pacemaker. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability and resilience of the Linux infrastructure.
• Virtualization Management: Familiarity with different virtualization engines like VMware and KVM and leveraging them to optimize resources and improve scalability.
• Configuration Management: Working with tools such as SUSE Manager, Red Hat Satellite, LDAP, Samba, DNS, and mail server configuration to manage and maintain the Linux environment efficiently.
• Project Management: Handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, collaborating with complex and international remote teams, and ensuring successful project execution within timelines.
• Shift Work: Working in a rotational shift environment, including 24/7 support, to provide continuous support and maintain service availability.

Who you are: 

• Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Previous experience with: Strong expertise in SUSE Linux and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and experience with AIX, which will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing high availability solutions using technologies like pacemaker and PowerHA.
• Familiarity with virtualization engines such as VMware and KVM.
• Experience working with configuration management tools like SUSE Manager, Red Hat Satellite, LDAP, Samba, DNS, and mail server configuration.
• Experience with any scripting language (Bash, Shell) and automation platforms like Salt stack / Ansible/ python is highly desired.
• Ability to work effectively in complex and global remote teams and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Hybrid Working Model, that includes both remote and on-site work at the base location in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro
• English proficiency is mandatory, this professional will have international reports to India, USA and Europe
