About the role
Job Purpose
Specialist will work to implement AMLKYC & Fraud risk control process and measures within Consumer Banking with the aim of ensuring safe and sound operating of current accounts. (s)he will be responsible for continuously working towards proactive solutions across all channels to prevent Fraudulent instances, identification of AML lapses.
Key Accountabilities, KPIs and Job Responsibilities
Acting as the first line of defence, following are the key deliverables for the role where the candidate will assist his/her leader in achieving the aforesaid objective:
- Identification of unusual patterns / unusual behavior of customers / Fraud trends, Fraudulent accounts.
- Conducting due diligence of the accounts identified through inhouse reports or highlighted by FCSS.
- Proactively identify potential risk areas and highlighting to supervisor.
- Work closely with the investigations team to understand threats and develop mitigants.
- Ensure necessary reporting of trends, unusual cases to stakeholders e.g., Business, FCSS etc
- Helping branches in identification of various red flags at time of onboarding and ongoing basis.
- Provides adequate support for Audit / inspections and ensure that there are no significant findings through constant dialogue.
- Communicate and involve stakeholders to respond to any fraud related incidents as the first touchpoint for Business, Fraud Control Securities and Services (FCSS), Operation team and other stakeholders
- Supporting the RFI / RFP process to identify product options which meet the identified requirements
- Maintaining high standard of quality and error free processes.
- Circulation of daily dashboards and other frequency-based reporting within team and other stakeholders.
- Enhance due diligence on MNRL and OPC cases
- Liaising with Law enforcement agencies / Law firm for Fraud cases
- Ensuring all trainings are attended on timely basis.
- Carry out and share the Root Cause Analysis on a bulk/syndicate fraud incident suggesting the plan of action to the management / leadership.
- Review and strengthen the AMLKYC and fraud monitoring process and control mechanism.
- Documentation of processes with respect to AMLKYC and suspected fraud monitoring.
- Ensure in spirit & word implementation and execution of internal & regulatory code of conduct and business ethics, clean desk, information security, internet usage, email usage etc.
- Maintenance of Fraud Incidents Database
- Ensure adherence to all AMLKYC and Fraud regulatory requirements across business and products.
Experience
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in banking domain
- Experience building Fraud prevention, detection, investigation, and due diligence.
- Knowledge of fraud, anti-money laundering regulatory requirements.
- Banking / Digital Banking experience desired.
- Ability to work within team and maintain sensitive and confidential information
