Analyst (Commercial)

About the role
We're looking for an Analyst to join the Commercial Data & Reporting team within the Insights & Analytics (I&A) function at The Telegraph.
The Commercial Data & Reporting team is responsible for transforming complex data into reporting outputs that drive performance and meaningful business decisions.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a technical role that supports and shapes how data is used across the Commercial organisation at The Telegraph.
Key Responsibilities
- Become a subject matter expert in Commercial data and reporting
- Gather and interpret requirements from stakeholders to inform effective data solutions
- Build and maintain SQL pipelines to turn raw data into clean and actionable datasets
- Create self-serve dashboards and reporting outputs in Google Data Studio and Google Sheets
- Partner with Technology teams to ingest and validate new data sources
- Investigate and resolve data issues that occur across our data environments
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to optimise and innovate team processes
Requirements
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an enthusiasm for problem solving
- Inquisitive about data and how it can be applied in a commercial context
- An adaptable and resilient approach to evolving and challenging data environments
- Excellent at technical and non-technical communication
