About the role
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Harbor</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> is seeking an entry-level</span><strong><span data-contrast="auto"> Analyst</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> to support day-to-day </span><strong><span data-contrast="auto">law library operations</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> as part of our Knowledge and Research Services team. This role is well-suited for someone early in their career who enjoys service-oriented work, is highly organized, and is eager to learn how a modern law library supports attorneys and legal staff. The Analyst will help keep library services running smoothly by assisting with invoice processing, resource access support, usage and administrative reporting, and other operational tasks that enable timely, high-quality information support.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">This is a fully remote role that can be worked from anywhere in the United States or Canada.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>

<h4>Responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain the library catalog and administrative records for collections, contracts, and invoices, tracking order and renewal dates, and ensuring documentation is complete, current, and accessible.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Help maintain access to electronic resources by assisting with password/access issues, troubleshooting common user issues, and escalating vendor/platform problems as needed.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support knowledge organization tasks such as updating internal research guides, adding/maintaining metadata, and helping keep shared repositories accurate and current.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Create and maintain simple tracking logs and operational reports (e.g., request volume, turnaround time, usage, and common issue categories) to support service management.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist with current awareness and monitoring (e.g., tracking legal and industry news, alerts, and updates) and distribute summaries or alerts to relevant stakeholders.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on renewals, resource changes, and administrative requests, ensuring updates are documented and communicated.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Contribute to process improvements by identifying recurring issues, documenting standard operating procedures, and suggesting workflow enhancements.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist with document delivery and source retrieval by locating materials in firm subscriptions and public sources and coordinating delivery to attorneys and staff.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Participate in training and ongoing professional development to build proficiency with legal research tools and library services.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Participate in research as needed and appropriate.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<h4>Qualifications:</h4>

<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Bachelor’s degree required.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Coursework or experience in library/information services, legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field is a plus; MLIS/MSLIS or JD is preferred but not required.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong customer service mindset with a professional, responsive approach to supporting attorneys and staff.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple requests with shifting priorities.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Comfort learning and working in online research platforms; familiarity with tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, or similar is helpful but not required.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel); ability to produce basic tracking and reporting.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize findings and document processes.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Reliable internet connection for virtual working.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
