APAC Compliance Business Unit Manager

<p>We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused professional to join our APAC Compliance team in Hong Kong as the APAC Compliance Business Unit Manager.</p> <p>Reporting to the APAC Chief Compliance officer, this role will play a central part in overseeing and enhancing the regional Compliance program, with a focus on governance, performance oversight and driving global &amp; cross-regional initiatives. You will work closely with Compliance teams across APAC and partner with Group Compliance in London to ensure alignment with global standards.</p> <p>This is not a traditional advisory compliance role.&nbsp; Instead, it is a regional coordination and strategic execution role, suited to someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating across multiple stakeholders and seniority levels in a fast-paced trading environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Compliance Program Oversight &amp; Reporting <ul> <li>Oversee Compliance-related KPIs and KRIs across APAC, ensuring consistency and meaningful measurement.</li> <li>Enhance reporting frameworks and governance processes where appropriate.</li> <li>Provide regular insights and analysis to the APAC CCO and senior stakeholders.</li> <li>Execution and oversight of Core Compliance Program in APAC.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>APAC &amp; Global Compliance Initiative Delivery <ul> <li>Drive and coordinate APAC-wide Compliance initiatives, ensuring timely and effective execution.</li> <li>Partner closely with Group Compliance in London to implement global programs regionally.</li> <li>Act as a central coordination point for cross-office initiatives and best practice sharing.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strategic Support for APAC CCO <ul> <li>Support the APAC CCO on strategic priorities, including planning, governance enhancements, and regional initiatives.</li> <li>Prepare materials for senior management, governance forums, and leadership updates.</li> <li>Contribute to the development and execution of the APAC Compliance strategy.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Stakeholder Engagements <ul> <li>Build strong relationships with Compliance teams across APAC and global counterparts.</li> <li>Engage with business stakeholders across trading, technology, and operations.</li> <li>Act as a key connector between local, regional, and global Compliance functions.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Qualifications and Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent.</li> <li>5+ years experience in financial markets, ideally within a trading or market-making environment.</li> <li>Prior Compliance experience is strongly preferred but not pre-requisite.</li> <li>Strong understanding of trading activities, market structure and associated risks.</li> <li>Familiarity with Compliance framework, controls, and regulatory expectations is advantageous.</li> <li>Strategic thinker with a self-initiated approach – able to identify opportunities and drive improvements.</li> <li>Detail-oriented with strong execution discipline to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.</li> <li>Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Excellent stakeholder management skills and able to able to engage effectively across all levels of seniority.</li> <li>Strong communication skills with an ability to distill complex topics into clear insights.</li> <li>Collaborative and globally minded, with the ability to work across regions and functions.</li> <li>Prior experiences with various work efficiency and data analysis tools such as Claude, Cursor, n8n, etc. are strongly preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>What you’ll get</strong></p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="509">You’ll join a culture of collaboration and excellence, where you’ll be surrounded by curious thinkers and creative problem solvers.
