About the role

Biotage is seeking an APAC Distribution Manager to strengthen distributor-channel growth across Taiwan, South East Asia, and Oceania.

This is not a front-line direct sales manager role nor a people manager. The mission is to improve distributor execution capability, build disciplined pipeline and forecast governance, and convert high-quality distributor support into sustainable revenue and gross margin growth.

The role works closely with contracted distributors and internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Product Application Support, Service, Customer Service / Supply Chain, Finance, and the APAC Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop distributor business across assigned APAC markets. Provide structured market and Voice of Customer feedback to APAC and global teams.

  • Work with distributors on business plans, target accounts, pipeline, forecast, and corrective actions. Run regular distributor business reviews to track performance, risks, upside, and next actions.

  • Improve distributor effectiveness through product training, demo / evaluation support, practical field support, customer visits, seminars, webinars, and key account development where needed.

  • Help distributors translate Biotage value propositions into practical customer messaging. Support local campaign, market development, and product launch readiness in distributor markets.

  • Ensure major opportunities have clear evidence, assumptions, risks, and next actions. Prepare rationale for discount or pricing exceptions if necessary.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, channel management, distributor management, business development, or commercial enablement.

  • Experience in life sciences, analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, or related industries.

  • Experience working with distributors or channel partners across multiple countries.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, sample preparation, chromatography, purification, or related technologies.

  • Proven ability to manage pipeline, forecast, business reviews, and cross-functional execution.

  • Fluent business English. Chinese bilingual greatly appreciated (preferred).

  • Willingness to travel across APAC distributor markets.
