About the role
Summary: We are seeking an organized and personable Apartment Tour Manager to support the leasing process for affordable and income-restricted housing. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and hosting apartment tours, coordinating with housing applicants, and collaborating with project managers, developers, and building management teams. The ideal candidate will quickly grasp key knowledge to ensure a smooth and successful leasing experience.
This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor position, requiring availability on weekdays and weekends. The rate of pay is $28 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with MGNY Project Managers and developer clients to organize in-person tours of affordable apartments across New York City.
- Schedule and confirm tours with qualified applicants, ensuring clear communication and a positive applicant experience.
- Travel to various properties and lead tours for qualified applicants.
- Track invitations and attendance, providing consistent updates and reporting to MGNY Project Managers.
- Contribute to the coordination of the tour process for projects with varying scopes and sizes.
- Learn and retain key details about multiple properties to effectively sell their features and assist with conversion.
- Master key knowledge areas, including lottery marketing, lease-up processes, rent stabilization, and rental subsidies.
- Coordinate with property owners and management teams to prepare for rental subsidy unit inspections when required.
- Act as a proactive and engaged team member, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Maintain accurate tracking systems for each application and project, coordinating closely with Project Managers and Directors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma preferred. Experience in residential rentals or sales is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle are preferred.
Schedule:
Approximately 15-30 hours per week. Must have weekend availability, though tours can take place during the week as well.
