<p>The <strong>Application Services Lead</strong> role sits within Axi’s Technology department and is responsible for overseeing the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of applications that power critical business operations.</p>
<p>In this leadership role, you will manage a team of Application Services Engineers, ensuring application reliability, performance, and scalability across a global, high-availability environment. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to optimise application functionality, drive operational excellence, and support the delivery of new products and services.</p>

<ul>
<li>Oversee the <strong>end-to-end delivery and support of business-critical applications</strong> across the organisation.</li>
<li>Ensure <strong>effective shift handovers across global time zones</strong>, supporting a 24/7 operational model.</li>
<li>Lead, mentor, and develop the <strong>Application Services team</strong>, fostering a high-performance culture.</li>
<li>Allocate resources effectively to meet <strong>service delivery and project demands</strong>.</li>
<li>Promote a culture of <strong>collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement</strong>.</li>
<li>Ensure applications are <strong>maintained, patched, upgraded, and operating efficiently</strong>.</li>
<li>Manage and support <strong>integrations between applications and internal/external systems</strong>.</li>
<li>Oversee <strong>incident management</strong>, ensuring timely resolution of issues, service requests, and escalations.</li>
<li>Define and manage <strong>SLAs and KPIs</strong> related to application availability, performance, and user satisfaction.</li>
<li>Drive <strong>automation, enhancements, and optimisation initiatives</strong> to improve user experience and operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Ensure applications meet <strong>security, compliance, and data governance standards</strong>.</li>
<li>Stay informed on <strong>emerging technologies and industry trends</strong>, ensuring the team is equipped to support evolving business needs.</li>
<li>Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure <strong>scalable and reliable application services</strong>.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Are you the one?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in an <strong>Application Support / Application Services leadership role</strong> supporting business-critical systems.</li>
<li>Strong background in <strong>incident management, service delivery, and operational support</strong> within high-availability environments.</li>
<li>Preferred experience with <strong>Kubernetes, CI/CD, </strong>and<strong> DevOps</strong> practices.</li>
<li>Experience managing and mentoring <strong>technical support or application services teams</strong>.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of <strong>application lifecycle management</strong>, including patching, upgrades, and integrations.</li>
<li>Experience working with <strong>cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)</strong> and modern application architectures.</li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>monitoring and observability tools</strong> (e.g., Datadog, Zabbix, or similar).</li>
<li>Strong understanding of <strong>SLAs, KPIs, and IT Service Management frameworks (ITIL preferred)</strong>.</li>
<li>Ability to manage <strong>multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment</strong>.</li>
<li>Excellent <strong>communication and stakeholder management skills</strong>.</li>
<li>A proactive mindset with a focus on <strong>continuous improvement and operational excellence</strong>.</li>
