<p>Freedom Technology Solutions Group is looking for an <strong>Applications Developer/ Software Engineer</strong> to add to our team based out of Virginia! Processing,&nbsp;Geospatial &amp; Mobile Development,&nbsp;Technical Communication &amp; Documentation.</p> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Lead multi-disciplinary Agile teams through sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily scrums using Jira</li> <li>Translate customer requirements into MVIs, features, and user stories within a Lean Agile framework</li> <li>Monitor concurrent high-visibility projects, manage risks, and deliver on schedule and within budget</li> <li>Coordinate across security, operations, and testing teams to ensure smooth delivery and accreditation</li> <li>Work in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA, Confluence, and Git for sprint planning and backlog management</li> <li>Translate business requirements into user stories and technical tasks</li> <li>Coordinate across teams to manage releases, documentation, and stakeholder communications</li> <li>Provide surge support and participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives</li> <li>Design and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP, and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes</li> <li>Deploy and manage applications using EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53, and API Gateway</li> <li>Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, GitHub, GitLab, Nexus, and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible</li> <li>Implement DevSecOps practices including infrastructure-as-code, vulnerability scanning, and multi-tenant support</li> <li>Migrate legacy applications to cloud environments and optimize for scalability and security</li> <li>Monitor cloud infrastructure and implement proactive security and performance measures</li> <li>Use cloud-native scripting and provisioning tools for automation across Linux and Windows environments</li> <li>Develop responsive web applications using Angular, React, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript</li> <li>Build backend services using Java, Python, Spring Boot, Node.js, Express, Ruby on Rails, and Golang</li> <li>Design and maintain applications using MVC architecture and modern design patterns</li> <li>Maintain legacy codebases while implementing modern enhancements and refactoring for performance</li> <li>Support application development across web, mobile, and cloud platforms</li> <li>Design and implement UI/UX wireframes, mockups, and accessibility-compliant interfaces</li> <li>Support legacy system modernization and transition to cloud-native platforms</li> <li>Build responsive user interfaces using React, MaterialUI, Bootstrap, Greensock, and Kendo UI</li> <li>Ensure Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 compliance using ARIA, JAWS, NVDA, and WAVE tools</li> <li>Create wireframes, storyboards, and design templates for reusable components</li> <li>Collaborate with designers to translate UX concepts into pixel-perfect interfaces</li> <li>Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and Python</li> <li>Integrate middleware services for data exchange and system interoperability</li> <li>Develop secure and scalable backend services for data ingestion and processing</li> <li>Maintain and document API endpoints for internal and external consumers</li> <li>Integrate services using publish/subscribe, service buses, and message queues</li> <li>Design scalable, distributed systems using microservices, event-driven, and containerized architectures</li> <li>Implement backend services with fault tolerance, redundancy, and high availability</li> <li>Refactor legacy applications into modular, cloud-native components</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with mission needs</li> <li>Build and manage ETL pipelines using Spark, NiFi, PySpark, PL/SQL, Python, Bash, Bonobo, and CRON</li> <li>Design data models and transform JSON/XML formats into query-friendly structures</li> <li>Perform data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation across structured and unstructured formats</li> <li>Integrate data sources into operational data stores and analytics platforms</li> <li>Automate data flows and monitor ingestion health using enterprise tools</li> <li>Conduct data quality analysis and develop documentation for ingestion workflows</li> <li>Design and maintain relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Aurora, MongoDB, and DynamoDB</li> <li>Write and optimize PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and complex queries</li> <li>Administer Elasticsearch clusters and support search indexing for large datasets</li> <li>Model data objects across document and relational systems for scalable integration</li> <li>Develop federated search services and tagging tools to enable enterprise-wide data discovery</li> <li>Integrate Solr, Elastic, and recommendation engines to surface relevant content across structured and unstructured datasets</li> <li>Build and maintain content-based filtering systems and alerting services for real-time insights</li> <li>Support knowledge management workflows including foldering, curation, and metadata tagging</li> <li>Build and maintain dashboards using Tableau, Tableau Prep, Elasticsearch, and custom visualization tools</li> <li>Administer Tableau Server and manage licenses, cost recovery, and user support</li> <li>Develop metrics systems and self-service portals for usage tracking and reporting</li> <li>Support data-driven decision-making through visual analytics and stakeholder engagement</li> <li>Lead system accreditation efforts using ICD-503 and manage ATO lifecycle</li> <li>Implement secure system architectures with certificate management, POAM tracking, and FISMA controls</li> <li>Conduct technical risk assessments and provide mitigation guidance for enterprise systems</li> <li>Implement RMF and A&amp;A processes using tools like XACTA and Nessus</li> <li>Secure applications through encryption, access control, and vulnerability remediation</li> <li>Analyze network configurations and procurement processes for compliance and security</li> <li>Support vulnerability mitigation and secure deployment across hybrid environments</li> <li>Integrate AI/ML capabilities including deepfake detection, recommendation engines, and NLP pipelines</li> <li>Support Named Entity Recognition (NER) using SpaCy and regular expressions</li> <li>Develop solutions for document classification and predictive analytics using Sponsor-specific tools</li> <li>Evaluate and deploy COTS AI/ML platforms into mission workflows</li> <li>Develop Android/iOS mobile apps using React Native, Electron, and secure mobile frameworks</li> <li>Serve as SME for mobile OS security, hardware integration, and geospatial data workflows</li> <li>Integrate GIS tools with enterprise systems and support cross-platform deployment</li> <li>Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to align mobile capabilities with mission needs</li> <li>Create PMR slides, sprint reports, and stakeholder briefings to communicate technical progress</li> <li>Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences</li> <li>Document system architectures, security plans, implementation guides, and operational procedures</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field</li> <li>An active security clearance with a polygraph</li> </ul><div
